2. Market overview
Prices oscillated in a weak range with clear divergence, while terminal restocking stayed soft. Feedstock and intermediate prices were volatile on geopolitical uncertainty and shifting shipping and trade policy, pressuring production costs. Sustained high temperatures raised safety risks, prompting tighter inspections in several provinces and output cuts or shutdowns at some plants, keeping operating rates constrained.
Of the more than 100 products tracked, 58% fell, 14% were unchanged and 28% rose year on year; month on month, 45% fell, 55% were unchanged and 0% rose.
